October 2009 - SKEALS Craft and Hobbies Afternoon
On Saturday 5th September, the SKEALS Group organised a Crafts, Collectors and Hobbies Afternoon in the Easington Community Hall. This month our Photo Gallery contains eleven photographs taken at the event by Pete Crowther and one by Jan Crowther.
From the wonderful examples of the work of Barry Waller whose minutely detailed model carts and coaches were greatly admired, to the paintings of SKEALS' member Brian Parker, Tony Gear's collection of fossils, the artefacts displayed by Mike Welton and the on-going work into the history of the Easington Gala being undertaken by Jean Mills, the exhibits attracted hundreds of interested visitors and demonstrated the wide variety of skills alive in the community.
