Inscription reads;

Died June ye 4th 1730 aged 48 years.

On searching the Parish Registers there is only one entry for a burial in June 1730, and it reads Henry Weatherdale, Farmer of Out Newton. Buried June 6th.

This stone was one of the headstones raised from Kew Villa at Kilnsea. It had been used as a footpath, but was moved by the SKEALS group and is now in Easington Churchyard. To read more about the recovery of these gravestones, please click here.

Due to its fragile state this stone is in the keeping of SKEALS' member Peter Martin of Kilnsea.
