In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Quinton of Easington, who departed this life on the 28th of April 1877 aged 67 years. Not dead but sleepeth

In the 1871 census Thomas Quinton is listed as residing in Front Street (?), head of the household aged 60 years, married to Hannah aged 50 years, occupation Shoe Maker, a son Thomas also a Shoe Maker aged 20 years, a daughter Hannah aged 15 years, a grandson Thomas Dunn aged 2 years, and a Lodger, Domenigha Tolou a Dealer in jet, born in Switzerland aged 64 years.
