Inscription reads;
In memory of Ann Maria the wife of Robert Mason who departed this life the 5th of March 1824 aged 50 years. Farewell dear husband since my life is past, for you my love was true unto last. Fret not for me since it is all in vain, I hope that we in heav’n shall meet again. I’m now entombed in our native clay, Yet shall rise at the decisive day. When Jesus comes to judge the human race, And shew to all that we are sav’d by grace.
