This particular grave stone was retrieved from a bungalow “Kew Villa” at Kilnsea - it had been used to make a foot path. Why it was there we do not know, as it obviously belonged in the churchyard at Easington. This was one of the burials that should have taken place at Kilnsea but as the church had been washed away all burials took place at Easington from 1828 to 1864. A full report of the re-instatement of this and other gravestones appears on this site. Please click here to view this article.
