Inscription reads;
Sacred to the memory of Bride Hall junr. who died on the 7th of 1866 aged 43 years. Also George Hall son of the above who died on the 2(8)th of August 1869 aged 19 years.

In the 1861 census Bride Hall is residing at Blacksmith's Row Easington, head of the family, aged 37 years, married to Susanna aged 39 years, Occupation Master Blacksmith, with four sons and two daughters. One of the sons George Hall is the other name on the gravestone, listed as a scholar aged 10 years on the same census.
