Inscription reads;
In loving memory of the children of William and Mary Ann Dennison, Minnie died April 20th 1875 aged 2 years and 6 months. Kate died April 23rd 1875 aged 5 years and 1 month. Safe in the arms of Jesus.

The 1871 census records William Dennison and his wife Mary Ann aged 29 and 30 years respectively, they were both born in Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire. He was a farmer of 160 acres and resided in Blackwell Row, Easington. At the time he had his daughter Kate aged 1 year, as above, and also in the household was Elizabeth Kennington, annuitant 60, John Branton ag. servant 23, Mary Ann Willington domestic servant 20, Frederick Farthing ag. servant 18, and Mary Jane Cockerline servant 11.
