Welcome to the SKEALS Photo Gallery. This page contains twelve pictures taken in the SKEALS area of Spurn,
Kilnsea, Easington and Out Newton. It is our aim to change the pictures
in the gallery every month. Pictures on the page can be new or old, colour or black and white. The only stipulation is that the owner of the
photograph must give permission for it to appear and any recognisable figures in photographs must also give
their permission for it to appear.
If you have any photographs you would like to have considered for publication on this page please e-mail
them to us at email@example.com.
From November 2010 our Photo Gallery will take on a new look. Following a brief introduction the photographs will appear as a series of thumbnails. To view a larger
image of a photograph simply click on your chosen image. Each month a new collection of photographs will appear but those of previous months will still be available for
viewing should you so wish. We hope that this change will add to your enjoyment of the site.
It was with regret that on Friday 14th January we learned of the death of Tom Graham. Tom was
the son of one of the founders of the well known and much loved bus company, Connor and Graham. The family asked SKEALS to put on a display of photographs at his funeral
in Easington. The photographs came from our exhibition which marked the launch of Mike Welton's book, The Journey Starts Here, which tells the story of Connor and Graham.
Some of the photographs are shown here as mark of respect to a man who served the community so well and for so long.
Following its introduction last year, the gas companies of Easington have produced another
calendar for 2011. Gassco, who generously sponsored the SKEALS' Photographic Competition, asked us to provide the photographs for the calendar. This month our Photo
Gallery is made up of the pictures which appeared. Unfortunately, cropping of some pictures was necessary in the production of the calendar. The pictures in the gallery
are the actual images entered into the Photographic Competition.
Following the first SKEALS' Photographic Competition, held in the Easington Communiity
Hall on Saturday 30th OCtober 2010, our gallery this month consists of twelve of the entries. The choice is simply my own and contains some prize winners and others
not so successful. It is our intention to show more of the entries over the coming months.
